Exhibition in Alfeizerão

Wednesday February 1st marks 2 years and 11 months since I resumed what I had taken a break from about 30 years earlier. From 1981 to 1991 I had an active studio, and was a leading photographer in Norway. Until the cancer took me..

During my long break, I did not take any photo assignments, and I still only take very few photo assignments.

3 years ago I decided to see if I had forgotten my profession and passion. The answer came quite quickly.
I was lucky to have the opportunity to photograph a very motivated model. Totally inexperienced but motivated and took instructions very easily.

Later, there have been a couple of other models, but Soraya has always been available and motivated – and is still my favorite model.

In August 2022 I received a request to participate in a series of exhibitions in Alfeizérao – which I think was very good timing for the process with all the photos already taken. A sort of status update over the last few years.

I don’t want to stop with my photography, and am very open to where the road goes next. It is not yet decided, but I feel that I should proceed.

When I had a studio, I always had apprentices or photography students. It’s always good to be asked by students why I do things the way I do. It forces me to think.

Wednesday February 1st is the Verntisage at my exhibition of a small selection of my photos from the last 3 years. The Verntisage is on Wednesday from 3 to 5 p.m.

Aberto também no segundo Sábado de cada mês, das 9 às 14 horas, encerrando na Segunda-feira seguinte.
Assim no corrente ano “estaremos” abertos nos 12 de Novembro a 11 de Dezembro.

From Monday to Friday, from 10 am to 12.30 pm and from 1.30 pm to 5 pm
Also open on the second Saturday of each month, from 9 am to 2 pm, closing on the following Monday.
